Studio Star of the Week – Kathy Hatzke!

I’m thrilled to introduce our Studio Star for this week….it’s Kathy Hatzke!

I asked Kathy to share a little about herself with us, and here’s what she had to say:

“I’m Kathy and I live in Oakland, Ca.  I’m a mom to three wonderful kids:  Mason 12, Miles 9, and Maya 6.  By day, I’m an elementary school principal and stamping is my stress relief.  I started stamping while on a lunch date with some girlfriends.  We went into a card shop and one of them mentioned that she stamped and could make cards pretty much like what we saw in the store.  I wondered how hard it could be and resolved to make my own Christmas cards that year.  5 hours and 5 cards later, I decided that it was fun but since I had no idea of what I was doing, it was time to start learning.  I went to a stamp camp and discovered Splitcoaststampers and was hooked.  I’ve gotten a little quicker at making cards these days ”

We ask our Studio Stars to share a project that they love and/or that represents their style.  Our team has quarterly card swaps and this was one that Kathy made for us.  It’s displayed in my craft room and puts a smile on my face whenever I see it!
